What to Expect
Whether it's your first time or first time in a long time, here's what you can expect when you come to Nances Creek!
Sunday Mornings
We have Sunday School for all ages every Sunday at 9:45am. If you are unsure where to go, just head to the main entrance and someone will show you to the appropriate group(s). Our Sunday Morning Worship services feature a blend of traditional and contemporary music and exegetical teaching by our pastor. The service begins at 11:00am and lasts 60-75 minutes. Church members and attenders typically wear anything comfortable and appropriate for worship. We have people who like to dress up and some who like to dress more casual, but feel free to come as you are.
Wednesday Nights
Our Wednesday nights follow a trimester schedule. During each trimester, we offer midweek groups for kids, students, parents, and adults at 6:30pm. During the fall and spring trimesters, we also offer a church-wide meal at 6:00pm. The menu varies from week to week and can be found on our church Facebook page. There is no charge for the meals, but donations are accepted to help offset the cost. During the summer trimester and during the winter break, pizza is provided each week for the kids and youth.
Kids and Youth Ministries
We have Sunday School groups available for elementary through high school aged students each week. During the Sunday Morning Worship Service, kids will join their parents in the auditorium for the music portion of the service and will be dismissed to Children's Church before the message. On fifth Sundays, kids will remain with their parents through the worship service to give them and our volunteers an opportunity to be a part of the main service. On Wednesdays, we offer Olympians for kids in elementary grades and Fifty1 for students in 7th-12th grades.
Finding Your Way to Nances Creek Baptist Church
Nances Creek Baptist Church is located in the beautiful Nances Creek Community on Hollingsworth Road just a mile off of Hwy 9 in Jacksonville, Alabama. We are conveniently situated in the Piedmont/White Plains/Jacksonville triangle. When you arrive in the parking lot, the main entrance is located at the front doors of the church building. There is a handicap accessible entrance with a ramp located to the left of the main entrance.
